Ford may enter Formula 1 in 2026 through a partnership with current Constructors' champion, Red Bull Racing.
The American car giant will provide financial and technical support to the team in exchange for the engines being badged as Ford products.
1The engines will be produced in-house by Red Bull Powertrains and comply with new regulations set to take effect in 2026.
The deal between Ford and Red Bull Racing is expected to be officially announced with the team's 2023 livery reveal.
The talks with Porsche for a 50% purchase of the team fell through, with Red Bull only accepting engine sponsorship deals.
1Ford funded the Cosworth DFV V8 engine, which dominated F1 from 1967 to the early 1980s.
Ford owned the Jaguar F1 team in the early-2000s before selling it to Red Bull after the 2004 season.
